Winslow Homer (1836–1910) is widely considered a leading American painter of the nineteenth century. Volume I covers 1846–1866, presenting details and black-and-white illustrations of around 294 works, plus ten color reproductions and a Summary Biography with new insights. Volume II continues from 1867–1876, listing 317 works with similar illustrations, sixty in color, and a biography update.
