In ‘Marcel van Maele in Meervoud’ brengt hij voor het eerst alle uitgaven van zijn werk samen. Dit overzicht van Van Maeles dichtbundels, romans, toneelstukken, bibliofiele uitgaven, zeefdrukken, affiches en, last but not least, multipels reveleert een kunstenaar die zich, met het oog op een optimale communicatie, multimediaal en meervoudig manifesteerde.

Het Havenhuis Antwerpen

Er zijn weinig havens in de wereld die kunnen bogen op zo’n rijke geschiedenis als Antwerpen. Reeds in de 16e eeuw was de haven een draaischijf van internationale handel. Geïnspireerd door deze unieke positie, en de historische context heeft Zaha Hadid Architects een nieuw Havenhuis voor Antwerpen gecreëerd dat zich passend heeft ingeschreven in de eeuwenlange dialoog tussen stad en rivier.

The evolving role of port authorities can be traced through the architecture of their headquarters. Prestigious city palaces tended to mark the vested power that fitted the historical, all-encompassing role of port authorities, whereas contemporary architecture displays a more functional and business-oriented profile. Other port authorities established themselves in former warehouses or passenger terminals, thus connecting with the industrial heritage of their ports. Whatever period they date from, port authority headquarters are generally landmark sites in the architectural landscape of port cities. ‘The Port Office’ tells the story of European port authorities through the architecture, art and design of their head offices, thus illustrating the rich diversity of European seaports.
